Spring Fling Crop!

Hi all! I just returned from my first weekend crop!! and loved it! what fun to just scrap away to my heart's content!! and the support and encouragement is irreplaceable and makes for great memories with new friends! (Yep  - I've got these (!) all over the place
:-) And I got so much done with plenty of time to chat, eat, relax and even take in a little walk between raindrops.  It almost seemed like 'Vegas, where time is not an issue. Here are a couple photos of the big space and my little place (there IS caffeine in wine right?? - that's what "they" said...)

Folio style album

This album started out as a pattern from a youtube video by Tewtami, but came together well enough to make it real! I have a long way to go on learning how to best embellish, but finally jumped in and will probably still add to it.

There is a LOT of "real estate" in these albums. There are flips, pockets and full pages to add photos and journaling.  I had a blast adding the patterned cardstock to the pages and with a little help from my friends, I think it carries a good look.  I learned a lot from putting it together and will get another one going next weekend at my first crop retreat!! Yahoooo! I wonder if I'll sleep?  How do these things go??LOL!!
Thanks for visiting!!

and after the flowers...

LOL!! after the flower cards, I moved on to another card and really goofed the score lines.  But I folded and re-folded and when I squished it together it made little pocket places. And tah-dah!!! this is what I came up with after all! The card is a top-fold, and the shapes are cut from "Kate's ABC's" . Not bad for "lemonade"!!

And!! THANKS so much for your kind comments! What great encouragement, just knowing someone is peeking at my page!!
and WOOHOO!! I'm up to 2 followers:-)

April Flowers

I just had to try a shape card that Sheila from "shesasassylady" tutored the other day.  Here's what I came up with  - They went together so easily and I'm anxious to use other flower shapes too! thanks Sheila!!
