Happy Fall, Y'all !!

Our October gathering will be on Sunday, October 18th at 1:00, at my house.  Please check it out and plan to come along!!
At our September session, we had a lot of excitement over a project I have made in the past (see attached photos), and so we will make at least the "guts" of the accordion box on the 18th. I made a Christmas Cookie Recipe box and a Halloween costume box. In the Halloween box, you can see the tags that go into the slots for photos or journaling.
There are many options for the purpose and decor of the box, including any theme you'd like, recipes, books/authors, Thanksgiving dinner recipes, annual journal(each pocket would be for a month and could hold photos and journaling for that month), grandchildren, passwords, address file, a kind of family tree, etc. and any of these could become a gift for someone, which opens up themes of their interests! WHEW!!
If you know what you'd like your box to be, and/or how you'd like to decorate it, you can bring patterned cardstock (3-4 of the 12x12 size) and matching solid colored card stock to make your box. Otherwise, we'll use Kraft card stock (which I'll provide)to be decorated later.
I will prepare the chipboard for the box, magnets for the closure, envelopes for the inside pockets, Kraft card stock

oh, and you need to bring tape runner adhesive - strong like scor-tape, and regular; plus your papercutter, ruler.  If you have a craft kit put together, it's always a good idea to bring it!

Thanks all! I hope to hear from you soon!!

New cards to get Fall started

I just got back from a great crop and came away with some cards with which I am happy!  In the bottom photo, I have made the base of an envelope mini and have yet to embellish it.  See the shiny, raised little red holly near the cardinal?  I LOVE using Close To My Heart's "liquid glass" to give this dimensional effect.  (it's also a wonderful quick drying adhesive!)
I'll be posting a couple you tube tutorial videos for these soon! In the meantime, come on over to my website :   http://www.made4you.CTMH.com to do a little shopping for products and some creative ideas!!
Enjoy your creative side and craft on!!

Here is the link to my newest video, part 3 of a series of probably 7. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m0ePmTiCsUA&feature=youtu.be

I have found that each video gets easier to edit and post but I still have to do and undo a lot!
The previous videos can be found on my you tube channel: made4you paper crafting.  I'd love to hear from you and see you subscribed to my channel! I'm getting used to strangers subscribing - at first it was a little alarming to think about but what a compliment and we are, after all, friendly paper crafters!!!

March Gathering is right around the corner!!

 I am so excited!
for the March gathering!!! I knew what card base I wanted to show you but the details were slower coming to me. BUT I got it!! I know you'll love the card style, and while the patterned cardstock and embellishments change the message, this one SCREAMS SPRING!!! Be sure to check out all four photos.
Details for the gathering:  Sunday, March 8, 1:00, at my house (message me for the address if you need it) and the cost is only $6 this time!! Your spot is reserved when I receive your fee so HOP to it ;-)
The stamp set featured is only available through March, cost is $9.95 and for reference on size: the lily in the photo is about 2.25 inches tall. If you would like a set for your own, be sure to let me know by Thursday the 26th of Feb. so we can have them in plenty of time - the total cost will include tax and shipping(divided by # of orders)so you can pay at the gathering.  or if you cannot come to the gathering but would like the stamp set, we can work that out too.
I sure hope to see you soon - Take Good Care, my friends!!

February 8 - Papercrafting Club invitation

We are back to our regular schedule so our February gathering will be on the 8th - that's right around the corner!!! We like to begin at 1:00, at my home in Lansing, so if you are nearby and would like to join in, be sure to comment below and I'll get back with you asap!1

This time we will make an easel card stand for post-it notes, a Valentine card and learn to make 2 kinds of flowers for embellishments.  The cost is $16 and I will need to have money in my hand to save your spot, so be sure to let me know asap if you are able to participate or not.

The sample in the photo shows a Fall theme and we will be using February/Valentine style cardstock instead (Heartstrings from Close to my Heart) NOTE the stamp set in the photo is the one we will use, however is not included in the kit.  I have a few available for purchase at $5, and they are the January Stamp of the month, so you could also get your own with a $50 order (http://www.made4you.ctmh.com/) before the end of the month.

Yahoo! Let's get together!!! 'see you soon!!!

January's Papercrafting Club was a blast!!!

It was a dreary day outside but very delightful inside! We had a full craft room and did a little "stamping shuffle" while we made 15 cards each and learned to use a few new tools and techniques.  Throw in some beverages and cookies, and lots of laughs for a great afternoon. (it was hard to get photos because everyone was moving - next time we'll pose a few;-)

January Craft Club

Here are the cards we will make tomorrow at our monthly craft club.  We have a house full of creative ladies who will end up with 15 cards to take home and have ready to send to some lucky friends! Notice how using a corner rounder changes the "mood" of the card so simply!
